I started teaching at Locust Grove High School in August, 2011. I am currently teaching the classes of Yearbook, English IV, Newspaper, Journalism I, and Drama. 

Teaching here at Locust Grove was my first teaching position. I believe my life experiences help me be a teacher who will listen, educate and relate to her students.

I am married to Larry Mills, and we wed on June 27, 1980. (Yes, that adds up to 36 years!) We have three children, Colleen, Larry IV and Tammy. Colleen is the middle school counselor at Locust Grove, and she is presently dating Dusty Ransom. Larry IV (Bro) has been married to Kaci for three years, and they are presently expecting their first daughter, Ruby, any day now. Tammy, middle school teacher at Leach School, has been married to Ryan Jenkins for eleven years, and they have two children: Heath Andrew, 6 and Hank Alan, 2 ½. Heath is in first grade this year at the Locust Grove Early Learning Center. 

We as a family have five dogs, Spotty, Rio, Lilly, Gunner and Sweetie, and three cats, Mitzi, Leo and Sunny. However, Bro and Kaci have seven hunting dogs that are NOT pets.

First and foremost, I am a Christian. I attend Word Fellowship Church in Chouteau, OK and am a member of the worship team. When not teaching, I am spending time with my family and helping take care of the day to day activities associated with our 1400 acre ranch in Rose, OK. We have 75 mother cows and raise our own replacement heifers. We also sell our calves in the fall and the spring. My favorite “download” time is to watch a John Wayne movie!
