What is enrichment? Why are enrichment tasks recommended?

• Enrichment tasks give students a chance to extend their learning in a different direction than that which can be offered in a traditional classroom setting.
• Enrichment allows students the oppurtunity to be creative in expressing their learning experiences.
• Completing enrichment tasks solidify foundational knowledge over a topic and in doing so, students gain ownership of their learning.

How to complete enrichment tasks.

1. Choose a task(s) that you are most challenged/interested in.
2. Use resources to help you complete the task.
3. Email a picture of completed task.

Do not stress over these tasks, they are meant to be challenging and show you a different side of mathematics.

Have fun with the challenge and (if possible) get your family involved.
